As part of the MED MAX I Occitanie - Saïdia Resorts, Alix Roumagnac, President of Predict Services, a company working in the field of climate risk management, organised a conference entitled "The Mediterranean, sentinel of the climate". The scientist also shared his expertise as a partner in the race. "The Mediterranean is an enclosed sea, so it captures most of the energy linked to climate change. It's interesting to be working with a sailing race on the MedMax. We're going to monitor the risks in the basin by opening a monitoring area for the race director. We'll also be monitoring the weather on the MedMax website, with a daily bulletin open to the general public. For their part, the skippers have their own means of forecasting the weather. We don't intervene in any way, other than to alert them to any worrying forecasts". Predict Services is also working with the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior, which is the final destination of the MedMax.
