We had a great start to the race. After that, we went right and left again, but by nightfall we were back in the lead. It was great to have managed to catch up and even to overtake some of the others. All night long we were battling it out in some really tricky conditions, with some very unstable light airs and some pretty nasty seas. There were very few moments of respite. The three of us lined up in a knot of wind. At one point, Amarris and Alla Grande Pirelli started up again, something we never managed to do ourselves.. For the time being, we find ourselves in a rather unusual situation. In other words, we're on the same course as them, but they're on starboard tack in 15 knots of wind and we're on port tack in 7 knots. We're a little worried that the gap will widen today, given the weather forecast, but we're counting on opportunities to come back as soon as possible.
