At the end of the morning, a press conference was held at the Radisson Blu, where the partners, organisers and skippers of the MED MAX I Occitanie- Saïdia resorts are staying, in an idyllic setting. In the presence of Jalil Bernis, Managing Director of the Société de Développement de Saïdia, Omar Alaoui, Director of the Saïdia marina and Fabien Huet, Director of the Sète marina, a large number of Moroccan radio, TV and web media were able to talk to the organisers, Kito de Pavant and Christophe Carniel, as well as the skippers, who came to recount the highlights of the race. Patrice Canayer, representing the President of the Occitanie Region, emphasised the importance of this event, which links two countries, and thanked the Oriental Region for having so kindly welcomed this first edition, which was to be followed by others. It was a statement that was greeted with enthusiasm by everyone in the room.
